Hands down my favorite scene in the anime.  At this point, I was just in tears.  Dave’s scenes always hit me right in the feels.

I had a lot of things I wanted to write about the creation process for this, but it’s not really important at all.  Really all I want to say is thank you all so much for the support in this endeavor.  I got such an amazing and unprecedented amount of positive feedback for the WIP and I really don’t even know how to properly thank all of you.  All I could really do was work my butt off and try to make this look as nice as possible.  So thank you again for all of the positive responses.  I had a lot of fun making this and I hope you all enjoy the animation.

did you hear that it was the sound of my feels being stepped on and spat on the face

The Homestuck anime OST got leaked and I can’t stop listening to this song!

At first I was skeptical when they showed in the Episode 134 preview there would be singing. But now I’m OBSESSED! I can’t believe they got the rights to do this song!

For once, Funimation did something right with a dub.

Homestuck The Anime, the Wikipedia Article
(Note: Paragraph breaks and mechanical/grammatical corrections added and made by thehomestuckanime, who had no part in the article’s creation.)
Homestuck is a popular internet comic created by Andrew Hussie. Andrew Hussie is both the author and illustrator of Homestuck, although his girlfriend, Rachel (more commonly known as softowl on Tumblr) often helps with its production. The web-comic was originally serialized on April 13, 2009. Since then, the popularity of the series has skyrocketed. For example, when [S]:Cascade came out after a very long hiatus, Andrew Hussie had asked Newgrounds to temporarily broadcast the flash video while he set it up officially on his internet page. This led to over one million “Homestucks” to crash Newgrounds after not even an hour of picking it up.
Due to its never ceasing popularity with teens and young adults alike, recent findings have proven that Homestuck has been transformed into an actual anime series. An anime of Homestuck has always been a hot topic around the fandom and anime producers alike, due to Homestuck sweeping through the entire cosplaying community and overflooding anime conventions across the globe with Homestuck cosplayers, plushies, drawings, etc. However, it was never before fully deemed possible until very recently, when it was found that Tokyo TV and a couple of other Japanese networks had contacted Andrew Hussie and bribed him with “buckets of money.”
Homestuck: The Anime started becoming a reality soon after the founder of Tokyo TV and Andrew Hussie struck a deal. The deal apparently included longer blocks, the incorporation of the best voice actors in Japan, and the incorporation of Nicolas Cage in every filler episode. Rumors have also mentioned that the deal included the creation of a Homestuck: The Manga, although this is doubtful due to the production of Hussie’s own book version of the series. The animated series was created on April 13, 2012. In Japan, Homestuck: The Anime airs on Saturdays at 7AM - 9PM on channel 413.
Due to the popularity of the series in Japan, Funimation and 4kids both made plans to dub the anime into English. Both seemed very firm on the idea of running and producing the English dub until the founder of 4kids read the original web-comic and found characters such as “Karkat Vantas” and “Gamzee Makara” to have “too vulgar of a language to be properly safe” for their network. Additionally, they stated that “…the amount of violence and controversial content in the web-comic would be damaging for our network’s further production…” and then soon revoked all previous pending deals with Andrew Hussie and Tokyo TV.
Funimation still plans to dub the anime. Andrew Hussie struck a deal similar to the one he had with Tokyo TV with Funimation, except that the incorporation of Nicolas Cage’s voice in the fillers and the canon series would be mandatory. Funimation has promised to make sure that Homestuck: The Anime is not only the longest recorded and ongoing animated series, but also the best ever produced and dubbed. It is popular opinion that voice actors such as Steven Blum, Vic Mignogna, Tiffany Grant, Todd Haberkorn, and Caitlin Glass will be taking on some of the characters in the upcoming and promising dub of Homestuck: The Anime, although much is still under debate.
