Hey Homestuck fandom, I’d like to tell you about my friend Heaven!

You’re probably seen her cosplays before, they’re really good! I see them on my dash all the time!
She’s also really sweet. We aren’t close but she randomly messages me and talks to me and she’s just one of the nicest people ever.

Aside from those above, she also did this really great Meenah!

She got hate mail for it. Why? Because of a little photoshopping.
People reblogged it with rude tags and comments “LOL DID U THINK WE WOULDN’T NOTICE” and “LAZY HOMESTUCK COSPLAYERS PISS ME OFF”.

You people must not be Troll cosplayers. Makeup is not only expensive, it can take forever to apply. Why should she waste her money and time for a silly WIP shot?

Keep in mind this was a test for face makeup (and isn’t even an ~official cosplay~ picture). And people sent her hate, reduced her to fucking tears- for something that plenty of people who post troll wips and cosplays do in the first place.

Congratulations on picking on innocent, sweet and undeserving people, Homestuck fandom. And you wonder why everyone hates it.

YAY I finished! Sorry for the shitty bathroom pics. I’ll have proper pics in a week or so, taking shots at Sandy Hook, NJ with Ambrosia as Asami with Nicole as our photographer awww yus.

I’ve discovered that the hem of his coat thing likes to travel up, and get shorter and shorter, because it started out way longer than that OH WELL. Also discovered: decent theatrical makeup is waterproof.

I don’t intend to cosplay unmasked Amon at a con, but I wanted to take a shot at his scar makeup. I managed to keep the corner of my mouth taut and open with a crapton of rigid collodian and grimacing until it dried. The coloring isn’t perfect, probably less red, time to do some disturbing Google Image search for next time!
